Shinified

Becoming shinified is to become obviously distracted from your goal or task according to Clan McNulty.

Origin

When he got distracted from something he originally set out to do, Kevin McNulty would frequently say something along the lines of, "Well, I was trying to get this closed when someone showed me something shiny..." Seeing something shiny or being shown something shiny became synonymous with distraction amongst the members of the clan. Then one day Pamela Harper shortened the phraseology simply to, "I got shinified." The clan has used the term ever since.
