Nuts

Nuts is the poker nickname for Kevin McNulty.

Origin

The nickname was given to McNulty by Jon Reddick the first time McNulty attended a poker tournament at Reddick's home. Certainly intended, at least in part, to be a play on McNulty's last name, it also refers to the term used in poker for the best possible hand. It is uncertain whether Reddick intended to also refer to McNulty's style of play. Historically, McNulty's win-it-all-or-bust-out-early style of play could be accurately encapsulated by the word "nuts," whether implying either "he is completely..." or "he certainly has great big..."
