Broward Hall Dormitory
Move-In
Prior to moving into the room in Broward Hall, Jon lived with his parents on Pete's Lane in Loughman, Florida. Broward was his temporary residence at the beginning of his sophomore year at Florida State University.
General Impressions
Hot. Broward was a male-only dorm in the early 1990s with no air conditioning and one large barracks-style shower & restroom on each floor.
It was not uncommon for Jon & Jason to climb the five flights of stairs to the room, and then promptly strip down to their boxer shorts to cool off. The prevalent way most residents dealt with the heat was with a pair of box fans placed in the room's two windows: one blowing outward and the other inward, to create some circulation.
Move-Out
Jon moved out of Broward Hall and into an apartment in the Forest Hills complex less than a mile from campus.
Significance
