Official Ship's Motto

The USS Khai Tam's official ship's motto is "A ship in a harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are for."

The motto is based on the famous quote, "A ship in a harbor is safe, but that's not what ships are built for." (need the rest of the origin story)

Trivia

Though discussion of channging this ship's motto ocassionally broke out throughout the history of the club, the matter was only put to a vote once during the tenure of the Long command team. Literally dozens of suggestions were made, some serious and some amusing (many of which were or became Informal Ship's Mottos), but in the end, the old motto was affirmed as ship's choice. It has remained uncontested ever since.
