Alien Food & Drink Entries at KhaiCon IV, 1995
At the USS Khai Tam's annual retreats, known as KhaiCons, one regular attraction was the Alien Food & Drink Contest.
Members would cook their most bizarre recipes and mix their most potent drinks and put them up to be sampled & judged. Everything from Cardassian Vole in Yamok Sauce (in reality a barbecued rabbit) to the dreaded Borg Lubrication Fluid (in reality, by all accounts, 50w motor oil) were sampled by judges year after year. Occasionally the creations were palatable, and on rare occasions downright tasty, but more often than not, the presentation was what stole the show.
