George Sumpter

George Donald Sumpter was born on March 3rd, 1971 in Frankfort, KY. He is the only known child of Donald and Laverne Sumpter. He has one half sister, Donita Sumpter, and a half brother Jeff Sumpter. George is currently married to Grace Sumpter and has three children; Christian Dantes, Christopher Dantes, and Michael Sumpter. He is also known as All-In and Pakled.

Childhood

From birth to the age of 3 George was diagnosed with frequent respitory and sinus aliments relating to the inclement weather in Frankfort, KY. His family doctor suggested that to find relief his family needed to move to a warmer climate. The very next month the Sumpter clan moved to Tallahassee, FL. Early in life George discovered a love for all sports and baseball in particular. George began playing in the city leagues at age 5 and by the time he entered high school George was ranked as the 3rd best catcher in the state of Florida.

High School

George attended North Florida Christian High School from 1985 thru 1989. At NFCS he received a varsity letter in three sports, baseball, football, and basketball. He was also on the Brain Bowl team and the president of the Debate Club. Graduated in May of 1989 with a 3.54 GPA. It was at NFCS that George first began working with computers which would lead to his eventual career in the IT field.

College

Attended Tallahassee Community College on and off from 1989 thru 2005. He graduated in December 2005 with an AA Degree in Computer Programming and Analysis as well as a 3.56 GPA.

USS Khai Tam

George’s introduction to the Shuttle Heritage/USS Khai Tam began with a TV crawl during an airing of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Having been a long time fan of both it and the original show he deiced to attend the recruitment meeting on FSU’s campus. There he met Jon Reddick. The two found they shared an interest in computers and arcade games and struck up a quick friendship.

George later became the Chief of Communications where, with both Jon Reddick and Kevin McNulty’s help he produced the award winning newsletter Hailing Frequency for two years.

Several years and inside jokes later he was given the Gay and Lesbian Recruitment Award for years of dedicated service in the conversion of more than seven girlfriends. In 1999 George moved to California but has always remained a loyal member in absentia of the USS Khai Tam.
