International Destinations

Countries visited by Kevin McNulty.

Kevin has visited eight different countries, 3% of the world, at one time or another, including:

  • Canada - Soon after meeting Debbie, but before thir engagement, Kevin travelled with his roommate, Kata, to Calgary, Alberta for the 1988 Winter Olympics. There they saw several events and made good friends with locals Brad and Marty. Brad and Marty travelled to California for Kev and Deb's wedding and Deb and Kev returned the favor in 1989 when they travelled to Alberta for their one year anniversary. Brad took them to Edmonton to see the West Edmonton Mall (the world's largest), and also to the Columbia Ice Field where they climbed the Athabasca Glacier.
  • England - Kevin's parents very generously arranged for a week in London for his college graduation. While there he saw Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, the National Theatre, Westminster Abby, Piccadily Circus, and even fed the pigeons in Trafalgar Square. He made a day trip in Salsbury Plain where he saw Salsbury Cathedral and Stonehenge. He saw Cats during its original run in the West End. He was even there for the "Queen's Birthday" parade where he saw the entire Royal Family, including then Princess Diana. His most memorable moment there, though, was watching the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London, a priviledge for which his father had obtained tickets for months in advance.
Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica.
  • France - Sean was lucky enough to be part of a school trip during the summer of 2005 that included Paris in its itinerary. While in France he saw the Eiffel Tower and even tried escargot.
  • Italy - The other half of Sean's 2005 summer trip included Rome and Pompeii. Sean got to see the ruins at the base of Mount Vesuvius and the Coliseum amongst many other memorable sights.
  • Jamaica - Kevin and Debbie honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at the Couples resort. While there they visited Dunn's River Falls and the Ocho Rios Market, as well as soaking up the sun (and the free drinks...and the buffets) at the resort.
  • Mexico - Though some would argue that Tiajuana doesn't really count as Mexico, the US Border Patrol feel differently, and Kevin has been to Tiajuana a handful of times.
  • Sweden - Debbie actually was lucky enough to travel to Stockholm on business in the summer of 2001. Experiencing days with 22 hours of sunlight, she was able to see some of the sights while she was there, including the Royal War Ship Wasa.
  • Vatican City - Sean's european school trip included Vatican City on the Italy portion of their journey. Sean even got to see the pope while he was there.
