The Anaheim Police Explorers performed traffic and crowd control duties for many special events in Anaheim. Kevin's work and school commitments lead to him leaving the explorers in 1980. His interest in law enforcement would remain, though, and in 1984 he majored in Criminal Justice and got a job with the City of Irvine police department as a police officer. Before he could finish his academy training, however, Kevin had a change of heart career-wise. He dropped out of the academy and resumed his college education, changing his major to psychology. He still holds a great deal of respect for the law enforcement profession.
