Your mention of italics for quotes confuses me.  The writing convention a la ''AP Stylebook''' is that a quotation of a sentence or two gets quotation marks, a longer quotation gets a separate paragraph, indented on both margins, in italics.  The use of quotation marks ''with'' italics is therefor contradictory.  Thoughts? --Tai

Speaking of linking, I'd love to hear your opinion of "When to Hyperlink" as I tend to be a big fan of links. I get lost on Wikipedia for hours clicking links. :) Since so much of the outside world is already on the web somewhere, a lot of things we type about in this Wiki could rate hyperlinks. What's your view on adding them in? The more the merrier, or do you not like them because the encourage people to perhaps leave the Wiki? --Tai

Oh, I think prolific linking is fine, provided the link out actually has something meaningful to add to the topic. For instance, if we're talking about a favorite movie, a link to the wikipedia or imdb entry is virtually essential, but I'd discourage linking because it seemed like a fun thing to do. --Jon 20:11, 24 September 2007 (CDT)

Your mention of italics for quotes confuses me.
