The Xbox 360 video game console produced by Microsoft is the successor to the original Xbox, and competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of gaming systems.
Its Xbox Live service allows players to compete online and download arcade games and content such as game demos, trailers, TV shows, music videos, or rented movies.
More than a game system though, the 360 allows streaming music, photos & videos from networked PCs, live audio & video chat, plus an ingenious method of keeping track of your progress in every game you've played with a collective Gamerscore.
