Shotglass was the Khai Tam nickname for Chuck Basham. Members of the club who were particularly active or noteworthy generally were given (or adopted) nicknames.
Origin
Chuck was almost instantly legendary for his affinity for alcohol. If he was traveling to a Khai Tam function, it would not be at all unexpected to find a blender in his luggage. While most members developed a persona of some Trek race and then selected some sort of job or function aboard ship such as doctor, communications officer, etc., Chuck proudly announced he was the ship's bartender.
Shotglass seemed a natural moniker.
