When he got distracted from something he originally set out to do, [[Kevin McNulty]] would frequently say something along the lines of, &amp;quot;Well, I was trying to get this closed when someone showed me something shiny...&amp;quot;  Seeing something shiny or being shown something shiny became synonymous with distraction amongst the members of the clan.  Then one day [[Pamela Harper]] shortened the phraseology simply to, &amp;quot;I got shinified.&amp;quot;  The clan has used the term ever since.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
