While Kevin and Debbie were dating, Debbie got an offer from her employer, [http://www.general dynamics.com General Dyanmics] to transfer to its Electronics Division facility in Rancho Bernardo, CA, just north of San Diego. Debbie accepted and upon breaking the news to Kevin, Kevin replied, "Well, you know I'm coming with you, right?" Kevin had already decided there was no way he was going to let Debbie get away.

The move was planned for weeks, and various options were discussed for separate living arrangements in San Diego county. As the couple grew closer, though, living together became the favored option, despite the inevitable protest Debbie would get from her very traditionally oriented father. As it turns out, Kevin asked Debbie's parents for their blessing to propose to Debbie even before moving day, lessening the impact of living together in the minds of the family.

Kevin did not have a job in San Diego, though, so the couple rented a home in Oceanside, the northernmost city in San Diego County. For some time, Kevin kept his job with General Dyanmics Pomona Division some 50 miles north of the new home. Leaving at 5:00 a.m. every morning for work got old very quickly, though, and Kevin eventually found work closer to home.

Prior to moving to their temporary quarters, Kevin and Debbie lived in Orange County, CA, the county just north of San Diego County. Kevin lived in a two bedroom apartment in Anaheim with his friend and roommate Kata. Debbie lived in a two bedroom house in Upland to accomodate her dog, [[Sheeba]]. She shared the home with friend and roommate Tracy. Both Tracy and Kata wound up in the couple's wedding party.

==Move-Out==
With both of them having jobs farther south than Oceanside, and getting married in September, the couple decided to buy a house, finally settling on the house in Mira Mesa known as [[Calico Street]].
