Prior to moving to 49th Place, Kevin, Debbie, Sean and Erin lived in Tallahassee, FL at [[McFarlane Drive]]. The house in Palmetto was finished in November 2001...almost one month ''after'' the family had to move to Palmetto for new job requirements. That meant a overly-lengthy stay in a motel suite, making move-in day even better!

The builders, Windward Homes, had started the house on order from another couple. The couple had requested the optional 9-foot ceilings downstairs, and the masons laying the cinderblock never got the message. They finished the ground floor with eight-foot ceilings, and the framers were halfway done with the second floor when the owners came by and saw the mistake. Windward gave them the option of taking the home at a discount, or Windward would build them a new home in the subdivision with nine-foot ceilings. The couple chose the latter, and suddenly Windward was stuck with an "inventory" house which they needed to sell quickly.
