Kevin started working for CBS on May 15, 2006. He began as a Benefits Specialist in the Health & Welfare department, administering benefits for Ceridian Corporation (the company uses its own products). Ceridian Corp. is generally recognized as the most demanding and complex of the H&W clients because:

* The use every product they offer to other customers
* They know how everything is SUPPOSED to work, so they are relentless when something goes wrong

In this environment, Kevin faced many challenges, all to the increased satisfaction of the customer. Kevin was nominated for several awards and recived merit bonuses for his work here.

==Becoming a Pilot==
When CBS decided to change the way they do business, they needed to test out their new business model on a small group of clients to see how effective it would be. CBS put together a pilot program for this new model and asked Kevin to be part of the team. On May 7, 2007 the pilot began.

The pilot was successful enough for CBS to decide to restructure their entire customer service model, creating dozens of new jobs and eliminating dozens of old ones.

==The Great Upheaval==
The unpheaval of the change to the new service model meant that everyone in the affected departments would have to re-apply to CBS for one of the new positions. With over 200 people in the affected group, the process dragged on for months.

Finally, on September 28, 2007, Kevin was offered a new position in the Knowledge Management department. Part trainer, part technical writer, the new position was perfect for Kevin and he for it. He enthusiastically accepted the position which started on October 15, 2007. Yet another chapter in his Ceridian career began.

Since then his role has steadily involved into a special project manager for the Service Management department. Kevin regularly works with Managers and Directors throughout the company, and is now on several interdisciplinary teams.

'''Brea Olinda High School''' is public high school located in Brea, California. Established in 1927, the school was originally located across the street from what is now the Brea Mall. In 1989, the school moved to its current 50-acre, $36 million home overlooking the city. The school has a current enrollment of approximately 2,100 students in grades nine through 12.

The school offers eight honors courses and 13 Advanced Placement courses are offered. Many students take advantage of an optional seventh period so they can find time for electives like ROP photography and police science, drawing, ceramics, woodshop, drama, instrumental music and choir. In fall of 2005, the school launched the Global IT Academy, an accelerated program in emerging technologies enhanced through global partnerships in education and business.

The school's nickname is the Wildcats, and the Wildcat athletic program has produced several championships, especially in Girl's Basketball. He had four brothers, Mike Jr., Phil, Bernie, and Eddie; and his sister, [[Pauline McNulty|Pauline]], is the mother of REDdimension Wiki Circle member, [[Kevin McNulty]]. While his brothers stayed in the northeast, Bill moved to California to attend UCLA, eventually marrying and settling there. When his sister moved her family to California, Bill and Pauline were able to maintain a close relationship even though the rest of the brothers drifted apart from them. Bill is the only uncle with whom Kevin had a significant relationship. Pauline called Bill "Sonny."

==Childhood==
Bill grew up the oldest of six children in a modest two-story house in Danbury built in the 1800s. His mother was a talented cook who learned to cook Italian when she married Mike, Sr. She cooked almost nothing but Italian food throughout Bill's life, depsite being raised on German food herself.

The family was of modest means due to extensive medical expenses through the years. Eddie contracted polio at age 3, requiring treatment and rehabilitation. Bernie developed a brain abcess at age 15, the surgery for which left him blind and speech impaired for life. Mike, Jr., who drove a bakery truck in his teens, had an extremely serious accident in the truck and was not expected to live (though he eventually made a complete recovery). Finally, Mike, Sr. had heart problems, having a series of five heart attacks over the years, the final one taking his life in 1962. Bill and Pauline, the oldest and the youngest children, were the only ones to escape major medical concerns during their youth.

==Occupations==
Bill got a job with Northrop Aircraft when he graduated UCLA, and worked for them for his entire adult life. His work on the [[T-38 Talon]] anf the [[YF-17 Cobra]] would become notable in his nephew Kevin's memory for years to come.

==Residences==
Bill met his first wife, Mary, in Connecticut and they moved to Texas in the 1940s. They moved on to California in 1950. When Pauline and he family moved to California, Bill was living in Torrance, CA in Los Angeles County. Pauline and her family lived about 45 minutes south in Orange County, but the two families were close enough to visit often. The path from Orange County to Torrance passed through Carson, CA which was the west coast home of the Good Year Blimp, which was often moored as the family drove by. It was the highlight of the drive for young Kevin.

Years after the passing of his first wife, Bill re-married and he and his new wife moved to Fountain Valley, CA in Orange County. Pauline's family lived in neighboring Amaheim by this time, and visits were frequent.

==Marriage/Children==
Bill married shortly after graduation to his first wife, Mary. The two had a daughter, Patricia, who remains close to Pauline and her family today. Mary contracted a serious illness and was bedridden for years, and Bill spent those years taking good care of her. She finally passed away when Patricia was an adult, and Bill spent many years alone in the Torrance house with his cocker spaniel, Shorty, and his poodle, Sam.

Eventually he re-married. His new wife, Kathy, had two grown sons of her own. Though it was clear that Bill and Kathy were very much in love, Kathy's relationship with Bill's family always seemed the smallest bit strained. When Bill died in 1991, Kathy quickly lost touch with Bill's family.

Never having had a son, Bill had a special affection for his nephew, Kevin. He called Kevin "Crindad" though no one is really sure why. He allowed Kevin the run of the house in Torrance when he was young, even allowing Kevin to play, ''carefully'', with his [[T-38 Talon|desk model]] from Northrop.

==Death==
Bill died of complications following surgery to remove blockages from his corotid arteries in 1991. He never woke up post-surgery, spending days in intensive care before finally passing. Patricia was at the hospital every day, but so long as her father remained unconscious, she would not go in to see him. She did not want her last memory of her father to be seeing him hooked to tubes and wires, laying unresponsive in a hospital bed. Kevin did go in to see his uncle during this time, and to this day admires Patricia's decision and wishes he had done the same.

Anaheim Police Explorers

The '''Anaheim Police Explorers''' is the common term for the Anaheim Police Department's Law Enforcement Explorer Post. Law Enforcement Exploring is a career oriented program for young adults that gives them an opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies. It is an Exploring program of Learning for Life, a non-Scouting subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America. The program is generally available to all youth ages 14 through 21.

==Significance==
[[REDdimension Wiki Circle]] member [[Kevin McNulty]] was a police explorer for Anaheim from 1979 to 1980. Interested in a career in law enforcement, he decided to leave the [[Young Marines]] to try the police explorers. He joined with his best friend from high school.

The Anaheim Police Explorers performed traffic and crowd control duties for many special events in Anaheim. They also provided search and rescue personnel, performed ride-alongs, learned self-defense, and attended educational programs about law enforcement as a career. They attended a week-long camp during the summer at which Kevin won a trophy for best notebook.

Kevin's work and school commitments lead to him leaving the explorers in 1980. His interest in law enforcement would remain, though, and in 1984 he majored in Criminal Justice and got a job with the City of Irvine police department as a police officer. Before he could finish his academy training, however, Kevin had a change of heart career-wise. He dropped out of the academy and resumed his college education, changing his major to psychology. He still holds a great deal of respect for the law enforcement profession.

Kevin's friend, incidentally, joined the army after high school graduation and became an MP. He went on to law school and is now a practicing attorney in Orange County, CA.

This phrase was first used by Kevin while watching his son climb a tree. He yelled up to his rapidly ascending progeny, "Be careful, I don't want to have a 'So there we were in the emergency room...' story to tell about this!"

The phrase is now in general use amongst [[Clan McNulty]], used by one family member whenever another engages in something falling into the "accidents waiting to happen" category.

Coincidentally, Kevin finally got his story to tell when son Sean sliced his thumb open on a can of tuna at school. His wife was on business travel at the time, so when she called home, Kevin could finally say "So there we were in the emergency room.."

For several months, Pamela, Kevin, and Sean studied karate at a local dojo. While sparring in class, one night, Pamela hurt her foot quite badly, necessitating a trip to the [[So there we were in the emergency room...|emergency room]]. While the prognosis was good, it was clear Pamela wouldn't be returning to karate for a while. While joking with Pamela later, Kevin went on a playful rant about how, with her out of class for a while, Kevin would "surpass" her in karate achievement. As part of his animated speech, Kevin added a gesture with the word (see picture). The rant had its intended effect with Pamela bursting into laughter.

Pamela picked up on the word and gesture and soon spread the fun throughout the family.

==Usage==
Anything of particular noteworthiness or any act of excellence amongst Clan McNulty may be recognized by one of the family members as "surpassing." When ever the term "He (she/it/they/etc.) surpasses (surpassed)..." is uttered, all family members must make the corresponding gesture.

The '''University of South Florida''', also known as '''USF''', is a public university system located in Tampa, FL, with an autonomous campus in St. Petersburg, and branch centers in Sarasota and Lakeland. The main campus is located in North Tampa, near the City of Temple Terrace.
The university is the third largest in the state of Florida, with a total enrollment of 44,891 for the 2007 academic year. USF is currently ranked ninth in the country in terms of enrolled students. The Princeton Review has ranked the University as one of the best Southeastern colleges and best value colleges.

USF's mascot is the Bull and its colors are green and gold. The university's sports teams participate at the NCAA Division I-A level. In 2005, USF joined the Big East Conference. I was only doing that because I had seen you do it, especially with names. I have no problem with not bolding. Want me to stop? Why don't you make a page for the help section that's like a style sheet that says when the acceptable occassions are to bold or italicize (bold a movie or book title, italicize a TV show or magazine article, italicize foriegn words like ''nee'', etc.), how to name graphics, when to use a hyperlink, when to use an internal lik=nk (just the first time it appears on the page, or every time, or what), etc.? '''McNulty''' is an Anglecized version of the original Gaelic: "Mac an Ultaigh" which is an Irish byname literally meaning 'son of the Ulsterman'. Ulster is an historical region and ancient kingdom of northern Ireland. Largely annexed by the English Crown during the reign of James I, it is now divided between Ireland and Northern Ireland (which is today often called Ulster).

The spelling "Mhac an Ultaigh" has been found as early as 1431. This might have been a literal patronymic byname; however, this example appears to be a clan affiliation byname, understood to mean "member of Clan Mac an Ultaigh". Spelling variations abound since ancient scribes and church officials recorded names as they were pronounced, often resulting in a single person being recorded under several different spellings. The Northrop T-38 Talon is a widely used US-built supersonic jet trainer. It was the world’s first, and most produced supersonic trainer. It remains in service as of 2007 in Air Forces throughout the world including the USAF, which remains its largest user.

It is considered to have an exceptional safety record for a supersonic jet. The basic airframe was used for the light combat aircraft F-5 Freedom Fighter family. In addition to USAF pilots, T-38s are also used by NASA astronauts, other NATO pilots under a joint training program, and some under civilian ownership.

The T-38 is of particular significance to [[REDdimension Wiki Circle]] member [[Kevin McNulty]] whose uncle, [[Pauline McNulty#family|Bill Gillotti]], worked for Northrop for much of his career. Having been fascinated by planes from a young age, Kevin held his uncle in high esteem for his work with the famous aviation company.

Uncle Bill had a desk model of the T-38 painted in the traditional white-and-orange training paint scheme which he kept on his bedroom dresser. Whenever Kevin would visit he would beg his uncle to let him play with the model, with Bill eventually relenting with cautions to be careful. Though Kevin recalls little from his early childhood, the memory of his Uncle's model is burned into his brain.

When Bill died in 1991, his wife, Kathy, asked if there were anything Kevin wanted of Bill's. Kevin's only request was the desk model of the T-38. Alas, it had been lost in Bill and Kathy's move from Torrance, CA to Fountain Valley, CA a decade before. Trying to fulfill the spirit of Kevin's wish, Kathy gave him Bill's desk model of an F-18 Hornet (which came from Bill's work on the [[YF-17 Cobra]]) instead.

At an air show in 2006, Kevin saw a T-38 on static display, its pilot standing proudly by the plane. Kevin told the pilot the story of his uncle and his work on the Talon. The pilot kindly responded, "Your uncle made a great airplane."

The Northrop YF-17 (unofficially nicknamed "Cobra") was a prototype fighter aircraft designed for the U.S. Air Force's Light Weight Fighter (LWF) technology evaluation program. Although it lost the LWF competition to the F-16, the YF-17 was selected for the new Naval Fighter Attack Experimental program. Northrop partnered with McDonnel Douglas to produce the enlarged F/A-18 Hornet which was adopted by the Navy and Marine Corps to replace the A-7 Corsair II and F-4 Phantom II, complementing the more expensive F-14 Tomcat.

Bill worked for the company as its YF-17 prototype competed with General Dynamics' YF-16 for the LWF contract. Kevin recalls Bill saying "If they want to see which one's the better plane, let's have each one turn off one engine in flight and see which one comes back." Thanks to his uncle's commentary, Kevin gained a unique insight into the life of the YF-17 and it's evolution into the F/A-18. According to Uncle Bill, "The Navy does business with McDonnell Douglas, not Northrop, so if we wanted to sell the plane to the Navy, we had to subcontract to MD." Certainly the official histories of the aircraft have a more complex explanation, but Kevin admired the simplicity of the summation.

The "Fighting Banana Slugs" of UC Santa Cruz or the "Anteaters" of UC Irvine would both be contenders for the quirkiest nickanmes in football, except neither school ''plays'' football. The rallying cry of "Slime 'em slugs!" might make it worth going to a basketball game though.

So in the sport of football, the top runners among the popular schools would have to be the University of Akron "Zips" (a kangaroo) and the University of Maryland "Terrapins" (a turtle). These two mascots are so inauspicious that the schools both have similar rallying cires: "Fear the Roo!" and "Fear the Turtle!" If you have to order people to be intimidated by your mascot, you may want to rethink your namesake.

But to find the hands-down winner for the quirkiest football nickname, you would have to look to the community college leagues. There you would find, in Arizona, the Scottsdale Community College "Fighting Artichokes". I kid you not. Who could make that up?

Their sophomore effort was a smashing success, going double-platinum in only two weeks. The band's new line-up had an unmatched chemistry that led to sold out shows across the world as the Kittens launched their second world tour. While expected to be on the road for quite some time, the Kittens have released a tour video and are already said to be in the planning stages for their third album, ''Are You Gonna Eat That?'' tentatively set for a spring release in 2010.

The '''Tattooed Kittens''' is the name of [[Clan McNulty]]'s band in the [[Xbox 360]] game [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_Band_%28video_game%29 Rock Band]. The family, particularly [[Kevin McNulty|Kevin]], [[Sean McNulty|Sean]] and [[Erin McNulty|Erin]], enjoy playing the game together in their free time. Part of the game experience being the creation of characters and the formation of a faux band, the Clan thought it would be amusing to document the "history" of this band in this wiki entry. In actual game play, the band was formed on February 24, 2008 and in only five days achieved the game milestone of the "Hall of Fame." Kevin and Sean completed the Endless Setlist on March 9, 2008 to become "legendary players."

Bassist Baby Bailey ([[Kevin McNulty]]) grew up in London's music scene; her younger sister, Lexy ([[Erin McNulty]]), and best friends, Harmony and Melody Edwards, taking turns singing and playing guitar or bass in various local bands in their youth. Seeking to form a more permanent band of her own after college, Bailey set off to find creatively similar musicians for a touring band in 2007. Various unsuccessful combinations were tried, until she met up with lead guitarist Sean "Naviking" O'Neil ([[Sean McNulty]]) in a West End music store in early 2008. The pair immediately hit it off and the nucleus of the band was formed.

The band's name came from longtime friend and eventual band manager [[Pamela Harper]] at a late night jam session. While the pair pondered a band name, Harper walked into the room wearing a shirt that said '"Of course tattoos hurt - kittens don't lick 'em on'." When queried for a band name, Harper looked down at her shirt and said, "How about Tattooed Kittens?"

Baby and Sean were soon joined by guitarist Luke Torres and O'Neil moved to drums. The three started playing clubs in London and eventually ventured across the channel, becoming wildly popular in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Berlin. Torres quickly returned to the U.S., while Bailey and O'Neil continued touring Europe with Bailey's younger sister, Lexy, on vocals. O'Neil returned to lead guitar on Torres' departure, and the band is still searching for a permanent drummer.

Retaining their small-band flavor, the Kittens are still fond of having guest members on stage. The Baileys' childhood friends Harmony and Melody sometimes sitting in on guitar, and vocalist Kit Delmonico singing at several shows. The band is also fond of even changing up their own positions, with Sean sometimes playing drums, Lexy ocassionally playing guitar or bass, and Baby taking turns behind the mic.
